Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher will cover everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin has a background in the field of space as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. For the last five years, she has reported on space policy during the Trump and Biden Administrations on FOX News. Through her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the president and vice president. She even went on a secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin was a television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter, before becoming a reporter for CBS in 2015. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in creating documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their 3-year-old daughter.
